                ICAR – (CRRI), Cuttack has released a walk-in recruitment notification under the “Network Project on Precision Agriculture (NePPA)” for multiple posts including Senior Research Fellow (SRF), Young Professional-II, Young Professional-I, and Field Worker. A total of 5 vacancies are available. These positions are purely temporary and project-based. 1. Senior Research Fellow (SRF)

Essential Qualification :

• Master’s Degree in Agriculture / GIS / Computer Science or related field
• M.Tech in relevant discipline
• Postgraduate Degree with NET and research experience
• B.Sc (Agriculture) + M.Sc
• Ph.D in Science
• (Candidates must have any one of the following qualifications.)

Desirable Skills Job Responsibilities :

• Knowledge of GIS and Remote Sensing
• Programming skills (Python, Java, MATLAB, etc.)
• Collection of experimental data
• Data analysis using GIS and other software
• Preparation of project reports

The post of Senior Research Fellow (SRF) offers one vacancy with a monthly salary of ₹37,000 plus HRA. The maximum age limit is 35 years for men and 40 years for women as on the date of interview. The walk-in interview will be held on 27 April 2026 at 10:30 AM.

Candidates must have a Master’s Degree, M.Tech, or Ph.D in relevant fields such as Agriculture, GIS, Computer Science, Environmental Science, or related disciplines. Preference will be given to candidates with knowledge of GIS, Remote Sensing, and programming skills.

The selected candidate will be responsible for data collection, data analysis using software tools, and preparation of project reports. The position is purely temporary and project-based.

• Minimum Age is 21 Years & Maximum 45 Years

Essential Qualification :

• Master degree in any discipline of Agricuture / Remote Sensing and GIS / Geoinformatics / Environmental Science.
• M.Tech. in Computer Application/ Information Technology / Computer Science / Computer Science & Engineering / Software Engineering / Electronics & Communication Engineering / Information Technology from recognized university.
• (Candidates must have any one of the following qualifications.)

Desirable Skills Job Responsibilities :

Ph.D. in any discipline of Science

Knowledge of GIS and satellite image processing

Programming skills (Python, Java, MATLAB, etc.)

Experience in developing ICT tools

The Young Professional-II position offers one vacancy with a consolidated salary of ₹42,000 per month. Candidates aged between 21 and 45 years can attend the walk-in interview on 27 April 2026 at 12:00 PM. Applicants must have a Master’s Degree in Agriculture, GIS, Geoinformatics, Environmental Science, or a related field, or an M.Tech in Computer Science, IT, or relevant engineering disciplines. Preference will be given to candidates with a Ph.D. and knowledge of GIS, satellite image processing, and programming skills. The role involves collection of experimental data, data analysis using GIS and other software tools, and preparation of project reports.

3. Senior Research Fellow (SRF)

Essential Qualification :

• Bachelor of Science in Agriculture/Botany/Zoology.

Desirable Skills Job Responsibilities :

• Experience of working in any research Institute for implementation of field experiments and collecting data about soil and plant attributes.
• Knowledge of IT applications, virtual meeting platforms and computer skills (MS Word, Excel, Power point, Tally etc.) will be added advantage.
• Collection of experimental data, Analysis of data in GIS & other Software data, Preparing the project report.

The Young Professional-I position offers one vacancy with a consolidated salary of ₹30,000 per month. Candidates aged between 21 and 45 years can attend the walk-in interview on 27 April 2026 at 2:30 PM. Applicants must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture, Botany, or Zoology. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in research institutes, field experiments, and knowledge of IT tools. The role involves collection of experimental data, analysis using GIS and other software, and preparation of project reports. 

4. Field worker 2 Posts

• 2 Post available under ICAR CRRI project
• Salary Rs.18797/- p.m consolidated
• Walk-in interview on 29 April 2026
• Interview time: 10.30 AM
• Minimum Age is 18 Years & Maximum 50 Years

Essential Qualification :

• Matric with + 2 Vocational in agriculture related subject.
• Matric with two years of working experience in agriculture related field. 
• (Candidates must have any one of the following qualifications.)

The Field Worker post offers 2 vacancies under the ICAR CRRI project with a consolidated salary of ₹18,797 per month. Candidates aged between 18 and 50 years can attend the walk-in interview on 29 April 2026 at 10:30 AM. Applicants must have passed Matric with +2 vocational qualification in agriculture or Matric with two years of experience in an agriculture-related field. Candidates must possess any one of the required qualifications. The position is temporary and project-based.

Important Instructions (Terms & Conditions)

1. These positions are temporary and linked to the project duration. The appointment will automatically end once the project is completed or the specified period is over. Selected candidates will not have any claim for permanent employment in ICAR/CRRI. Age relaxation will be provided to SC, ST, and OBC candidates as per Government of India rules.
2. Interested candidates must attend the walk-in interview with a recent passport-size photograph, original certificates (from matric onwards), along with photocopies and relevant experience certificates. A filled biodata form (downloaded from the official website) should also be submitted during document verification.
3. ICAR-CRRI has the right to increase or decrease the number of vacancies or cancel the recruitment process at any time. The decision of the Director will be final.
4. If a large number of candidates appear for the interview, a screening test may be conducted to shortlist applicants.
5. No travel allowance (TA/DA) will be provided for attending the interview.
6. Any form of influence or canvassing will lead to disqualification of the candidate.
7. Candidates who are currently employed must bring a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their present employer at the time of interview.
8. Candidates arriving after the scheduled interview time will not be allowed to participate.
